Vision and Mission
Ensight Skills Center was founded with a clear mission: To provide people with low vision the services and resources that empower independent and productive living. Ensight Skills Center is a 501©3 not-for-profit organization that provides visual rehabilitation. We are the only fully comprehensive low vision specialists in Colorado.
Comprehensive Services and Training Programs
Ensight offers a wide range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of its clients. These include:
- Low Vision Evaluations: Comprehensive assessments by optometrists specializing in low vision to determine the best aids and strategies for each individual.
- Assistive Technology Training: Hands-on training with the latest assistive technologies, including screen readers, magnification software, and adaptive devices, to help clients navigate the digital world.
- Daily Living Skills: Instruction in practical skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal grooming, and money management, enabling clients to maintain their independence.
- Orientation and Mobility Training: Guidance on safe and effective travel techniques, including the use of white canes and guide dogs, to help individuals navigate their surroundings confidently.
- Support Groups and Counseling: Emotional support and peer groups that offer a sense of community and shared experiences, helping clients cope with the challenges of vision loss.
