Halloween Eye Ball Tease: Celebrating the Work of Ensight Skills Center

Something Spooktacular is Coming in 2026!

Ensight Skills Center is busy planning for the 11th annual Halloween Eye Ball! (Stay tuned for the official date announcement coming soon.) After years of adapting and evolving, we cannot WAIT to entertain you all and celebrate together once again.

But the Halloween Eye Ball is more than just a night of fun and fundraising. It’s a celebration of independence, resilience, and the transformative work happening every day at Ensight Skills Center.

The portrait is topped with an elaborate Halloween decoration featuring black roses, white skeletal hands, twisted black branches, silver glittered twigs, and decorative elements creating a dramatic gothic centerpiece. The overall display combines photography and three-dimensional Halloween decor in black, white, and silver tones against a beige wall

Why This Work Matters

For most of us, the ability to see the world around us is a part of everyday life that we take for granted. We navigate our homes, read a text message, recognize a friend’s face, and drive to the grocery store without a second thought. But for Colorado residents experiencing vision loss or blindness, their world can become a very isolated place—filled with challenges that many of us never have to consider.

That’s where Ensight Skills Center comes in.

Collage titled "Eye Ball" featuring Halloween costume photos from the event. The top left shows a group dressed as characters, including a zombie, Lucy from "I Love Lucy" holding a heart-shaped sign, a person in a blue t-shirt with continents, and someone in a bright green caterpillar costume. A circular inset photo shows the Flintstones family with Wilma, Pebbles, and Fred Flintstone. The top right features two people in colorful unicorn or fantasy creature costumes, complete with rainbow wigs and tutus. The bottom left shows a royal family group, featuring a queen, a princess in a Mac and Cheese box costume, and a king wearing crowns. The bottom right displays decorative masks forming an octopus or tentacle design, featuring comedy/tragedy theater masks, with three people posed below. All photos showcase creative and playful Halloween costumes from the fundraising event.

Over Two Decades of Transforming Lives

Since 2001, Ensight Skills Center has served low vision clients and their families through nationally accredited, comprehensive services. Our programs include:

  • Adaptive vision techniques that help clients make the most of their remaining vision
  • Client and family education to ensure everyone has the tools and knowledge they need
  • Individualized training tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals
  • Visual support tools and products that make daily life more accessible

During this time, we’ve grown significantly to meet the needs of our community.

All photos showcase creative Halloween costumes and festive party atmosphere.

The Only Service of Our Kind in Colorado

Here’s something that might surprise you: Ensight Skills Center is the only non-profit service of our kind in the entire state of Colorado. The low vision community relies on us to help people make the most of their remaining vision, enabling them to regain and preserve their independence and quality of life.

Every day, we work with individuals who are learning to cook safely again, read their favorite books, manage their medications independently, and navigate their communities with confidence. We help families understand how to support their loved ones. We transform fear and frustration into hope and possibility.

Black and white photo of a couple in formal Halloween attire. A man in a dark suit with a patterned vest poses with his hand near his chin, styled with slicked black hair and a mustache. Beside him, a woman in an elegant black lace dress with long sleeves and a heart-shaped necklace stands with one hand on her hip. Both are dressed in a classic Gothic or Addams Family-inspired style against a neutral backdrop.

Why the Halloween Eye Ball Matters

To raise public awareness and financial support to reach the growing number of Coloradans who depend on our services, we host many educational events throughout the year. But our signature fundraiser is the Halloween Eye Ball—an evening that combines entertainment, community, and purpose.

The funds raised at the Halloween Eye Ball directly support our mission. They help us:

  • Provide services to clients regardless of their ability to pay
  • Invest in the latest adaptive technology and training tools
  • Expand our reach to underserved areas of Colorado
  • Train and retain specialized staff who are experts in low vision rehabilitation

Join Us in Making a Difference

As we prepare for our 11th annual milestone event and our first year back in person, we invite businesses to become event sponsors. Your support as a sponsor will help ensure the success of our work and help Ensight serve a greater number of low-vision clients over the next year.

Whether you’re a longtime supporter or new to our mission, sponsoring the Halloween Eye Ball is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of Coloradans experiencing vision loss.
